More Than Just Cathedral Square Senior Living
Ask many people what they think of when they hear the name Cathedral Square and the image that often comes to mind is that of our flagship property, Cathedral Square Senior Living, at Three Cathedral Square in downtown Burlington. However, in addition to this community that has been serving seniors and people with disabilities for 32 years, Cathedral Square owns and/or manages 21 other communities.
When trying to assess Cathedral Square’s impact on the lives of Vermonters, the statistics speak for themselves. At present we serve 786 seniors, 66 young adults and 23 children. Furthermore, along with the 22 communities currently owned/managed by our organization, we have also completed or assisted in the development of a grand total of 60 properties across 9 of Vermont’s 14 counties.
In February of this year, we opened our newest project to date: Town Meadow in Essex, providing 48 beautiful apartments in an extremely desirable location. We have no intention of resting upon our laurels, however, and the future looks to be equally bright. We currently have two projects in the pipeline: an additional 28 unit add-on to one of our most popular developments at Grand Way Commons in South Burlington and perhaps our most ambitious project so far – a multi-generational development at the Thayer School site in the New North End of Burlington with an estimated 100 units being proposed.
When it comes to providing healthy homes, caring communities and positive aging, Cathedral Square is second to none.
